Prestige is where training stops being an introduction. More hours, a higher technical floor, and a competition schedule that asks something of the whole family. Placement is by audition, and we book those one dancer at a time.

Where Prestige Fits
Four rungs, and most dancers climb them in order. Prestige is the one in the middle: past the point where everyone makes the team, short of the point where the studio asks for your whole calendar.

What Prestige Asks
Three things change when a dancer moves up from Premiere. None of them is a surprise once the season starts, so they are worth reading before the audition rather than after.
More Hours
Technique classes across more than one style, plus a weekly rehearsal block. Most Prestige families are in the building three or four evenings a week once the season is running.
A Higher Floor
Choreography is set faster and corrections are given to the room, not the individual. Dancers are expected to arrive able to pick things up and to work on notes between classes.
A Full Season
Routines are cast for the year. A dancer who steps away in February takes a hole in a formation with them, so we ask families to commit to the whole season before they commit to any of it.
Not everyone is placed
Premiere makes a promise this team does not: there, everyone makes it. Prestige is placed by audition, and some dancers who audition are offered a season in Premiere instead.
That is not a soft no. It is usually a year of training away from a yes, and we would rather say so in September than have a dancer spend a season in a room that is moving faster than they are.

There is no audition day. We book them one at a time, which means your dancer is seen in a normal class rather than in a room of two hundred strangers.

What We Ask of Your Family

Attendance the formation depends on
Group routines are spaced around the dancers in them. A missed rehearsal costs the other dancers their spacing, not just your own.

Casting happens once. We ask for the year up front so nobody is recast in the middle of it.

Costumes, competition entries and travel. Prestige competes more often than Premiere, so budget for a longer season. We give you the full figure before you enroll.

What Parents Ask
Premiere places every dancer who enrolls; Prestige places by audition. Prestige rehearses more, competes more often, and sets choreography at a faster pace. Premiere is a first competition season, Prestige is the one after it.
Your dancer takes a normal Prestige class while we watch, then we talk. There is nothing to prepare and no solo to bring. We are looking at how quickly they pick up material and how they take a correction, not at what they can already do.
We will tell you that day, and we will usually recommend a season on Premiere instead. That is a genuine recommendation rather than a polite no — most dancers who take it audition again the following year and are placed.
Tuition, costumes, competition entries and travel. The total is higher than Premiere because the competition schedule is longer. We give you the full season budget in writing before you enroll, so there are no figures you meet for the first time in February.
Mostly regional events within driving distance, plus selected national competitions. We publish the season calendar before enrollment closes so you can check it against your own.
Yes, and it is the usual route. Company holds its own auditions on fixed dates, and a year on Prestige is the preparation most successful candidates have had.
